The client's majlis roof was waterproofed with a bitumen membrane, which was breaking easily after one summer. The bitumen membrane was removed, the metal roof joints were sealed with Thermo-Shield and Polyester Fabric. Two Coats of Thermo-Shield Cool Roof Coat was Applied to build 300µ DFT.

After application, the Thermo-Shield applied Roof was compared with the adjacent beige coloured metal roof. The temperature difference at 9:27AM was 20.4 °C.
